2025 Race Info

Date: Saturday, September 6, 2025
Location: Tip Track, Wellington
Races: Tip Track Marathon (42km, 2500m elevation)
Tip Track Half (21km, 1250m elevation)
Time: 7am for TTM, 9am for the Half

Unlike the race, entry is simple...

Simply click on the 'Register' button above and this will take you to the website to register. There is a fee of $40 for the marathon and $25 for the TKT. We also offer a 'Low income earner' option, if things are a bit tight. TTM is about community and we don't want anyone to miss out! Alternatively, there are options to donate a bit more which are hugely appreciated.

All money raised goes to one or two nominated charities each year. Literally, ALL the money (aside from the booking fee during rego, plus a few small costs such as this website, a portaloo on the day). Literally, almost all the money. Any other costs incurred come out of my pocket. That's why this event is no frills. Want a medal? Go do Round the Bays.

Not sure what to expect? On the fence? Find my sense of humour mildly entertaining but not sure this event is for you? Come. Just register. Do it. YOU ARE NOT MADE OF SUGAR. It all goes to charity and I PROMISE you will have fun. Unlike other races, I guarantee good weather and friendly dogs.

You can also sign up to the half/marathon and simply do 1 or 2 laps if you prefer. I will warn you though, others have attempted that option and ended up doing more as they were having so much fun. Type 2 fun, but still.

Comp gear, aid stations etc

Near the bottom of the tip track will be a base/HQ where you can leave any supplies you want. A table / aid station is there too where you can place food/baking. Note the table is communal though!
There is no comp gear for the marathon as you are never far from the base and can leave whatever you need there.
